Our Providers

Dr. Claudia Lau is a board-certified pediatrician licensed in the state of California. She is also an elected member of the ΑΩΑ national honor medical society, and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She graduated college from Northwestern University, medical school with honors from Case Western Reserve University, and pediatric residency from UCLA where she was selected as Chief resident. Dr. Lau has spoken at multiple national medical conferences and published numerous research articles, with a specific focus on food allergies in children. Before moving to Morningside Pediatrics, she was an active faculty member who contributed to the medical community by teaching and mentoring trainees across multiple UCLA clinics and hospitals. She was also selected to join national committees at both the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Pediatrics to help improve the quality of pediatric medical care, a cause which she strongly believes in and continues to promote. She is now on staff at Saint John’s Health Center, and can start caring for your baby seamlessly from birth should you decide to deliver there!

Dr. Lau has lived in cities around the world including Chicago, Toronto, and Hong Kong, but her favorite is still Santa Monica where she calls home with her incredibly supportive husband. Their home is just a bike ride away from our clinic! Outside the clinic, you might find her practicing yoga or paddleboarding on Santa Monica beach. If you see her there, don’t be afraid to say hello!
